Default Neato Fantasy Civ 4 Mod - Fall From Heaven

While you lesser people wait for Dom3 to be released (HAHAHAHA! ) why not try out the next best thing? No, not Dominions 2. Some cool dude has made a fantasy total conversion for Civilization 4, Fall from Heaven . While it doesn't add anything completely drastic, it gives the game a good ol' fantasy facelift and makes religion, one of the most interesting but sadly underused aspect of the game IMHO, a lot more important among other things. Blah blah blah, enough of me here's the scoop straight from the devs:
Quote:
Fall from Heaven is a Fantasy based mod that brings more focus on the Religion and Promotion aspects of Civilization 4. Toward that end there are unique religion units, increased XP, unit upgrades that last throughout the entire game (a Scout can be upgraded to a Hunter, then to an Assassin, then to a Shadow). Promotions have had their effect increased and many new promotions have been added. The Tech Tree, Units, Religions, Buildings and Civics have all been rebuilt from the ground up.

Spells have been added to the game including Cure Disease (Removes the Diseased and Plagued negative promotions that spread in the game), Fireball, Bless (gives the units a moderate strength increase until their next battle), Vialize the land (upgrades the terrain) and the ability to Summon Fire Elementals and Demons.

Enjoy the Mod, and I invite feedback so that I can make it better. Please feel free to respond in this thread or Private PM me on www.civfanatics.com or www.octopusoverlords.com. My name is Kael on both forums.

You can also try out the beta for the upcoming sequel, Fall from Heaven II.

I've been playing the beta and so far it's been pretty fun. The civs and the good/evil/neutral mechanics between them is a great addition and the larger impact of a religion is a huge plus for me. So, anyone want to get a multiplayer game going?

... didn't I mention this one in a previous thread?
Yeah, it's a really nifty mod I might be interested in MP if we could ever find some time when we're all available... that's the thing that sucks about Civ4 MP is that you have to be all present at the same time... or does it have a turn-based mode like Dom2?

I know this mod. The only problem that it is based on Civ IV. My subjective opinion is, that the Civilization serie is getting very boring. Part 4. is the same old game with some new features but nothing groundbreaking new stuff. I bought the game, but I realized that it was a mistake. Anyways it is still sitting on my comp, but only to play with some total conversion mods. This is why its good if a game is moddable, the vanilla game is just making me sick.
