Should I download SE5?
First off, I don't think it's available yet. When it is available should I download it straight away or wait for the box? I remember something about Steam that was saying it wasn't a good idea to get it that way.

Re: Should I download SE5?
Steam works reasonably, compared to places like Digital River and the S1st download service.

Re: Should I download SE5?
Steam works fine, with a couple cavets:
-you cannot sell the game. ever.
-you -must- have an internet connection any time you install a Steam game
-if Steam goes offline for any reason and you need to reinstall, you can't. End of story.

Re: Should I download SE5?
My concern was based on the idea that it would be some time after it was made available for download before you could buy the box. I just realised that I could probably still buy the box online, just not in store. I suppose I could wait a few days for it to be sent here.

Re: Should I download SE5?
If MM continues it's very consumer friendly attitude, it is probably safe to use the downloaded version of SE V:
I recently tried to reinstall SE III on my new computer and realized that I couldn't find my registration key (bought the game in 1999!). After an e-mail to MM with a copy of my introscreen of SE III on my old computer, I got the registration code from him again within 24 hours and could install SE III on my new computer.
For me the shipping cost (to Europe) and the time it takes (several weeks) make the download version interesting.

Re: Should I download SE5?
Anyone know if S1st will fix their download server? I simply canīt buy anything from their site... every time i try to buy something it gives an error saying that i donīt have permission to access the server... i already sent a message to S1st with the problem, but they dindīt answer anything and the problem continues...
I hope to buy SEV from the S1st site, downloading it, since shipping cost and the time to Brazil would be too high and too long for me...

Hi Makinus,
All is well I trust?
I thought you and I were going to coöperate to get you the boxed version of SE V. You told me the shipping cost from Europe to Brazil would be lower than importing it directly to Brazil. Is this still true? If not, how can I help you get the game (when it comes out of course)?

Re: Should I download SE5?
If I steam it into my machine AND get the boxed set then I have undone all of the steam problems, correct? (I have to get multiple copies anyway)
