Dominions is FATTENING!
OK I guess that like all things its OK if done in moderation. Dont do like I did and start multiple blitz and solo games on multiple servers. Too much snacking, NO exercise, and no hosting lag to remind me to get up and do something other than Dom3. VERY bad. I guess the Halloween candy rush to keep playing late into the night didnt help either.
Dont try to bypass the hosting lag. Its a safety feature.
Thank the Devs for it instead.

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
I bought a very high dollar office chair to cut down the pain from sitting down so long. Computer gaming is not for those with poor health. Unless they can afford it.

I have a lovely comfortable leather chair with vibrating massage pad. So I play Dom3 in utter comfort...

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
I was thinking of buying a nice vibrating chair for the living room for christmas. Hmmm.....I just hate to give up all the adjustable, swiveling, rolling stuff.

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
Either going to the gym/doing sports for atleast an hour a day helps me deal with it but i agree, it can be hard to do anything else.
I have four activities that may take place while a game is hosting:
1) Play another dominions game in another window
2) Eat/Drink
3) Go to the toilet(you didnt need to know did you?)
4) Go to this site

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
I spent something over a hundred bucks on a leather office chair. Sadly, it's not as comfortable as I could wish, but then I think it has something to do with my being too fat to begin with. It's a good thing I'm married and the only person I have to impress is my wife. Sadly, she doesn't impress that easily.
Tip: turn graphics up to maximum beautification so you get a longer delay between turns, and then keep a set of weights by the computer. I own a set of cheapo 5 lb weights and I'm up to 2,000 reps at a set. One set takes me about an hour to 90 minutes. Great for the blood circulation. I wish there were a way to mount my laptop on a stair-master...

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
My wife threatened to hook an exercise bike up to the monitor. Not the computer, just the monitor. If I wanted to see anything Id have to peddle it.

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
Hmm... I'd argue that with Dom3 and food competing for the same time slot Dom3 usually wins (unless I'm *really* hungry), so Dom3 effect might be exactly opposite

Re: Dominions is FATTENING!
I eat popcorn, lots of popcorn, cheap, easy to make, fast in the microwave and drink it down with liquid refreshment of one's choice I have probably gained several lbs playing this, audacious, addictive, sweltering, nerve wracking at times, frustraed, and other adjectives game. So if you'll excuse me, I'm off to make some more popcorn
i can imagine what meyhem a cantina in this forum would be like
