Item stacking rant
Two enormous cauldrons do not work together. Yet an hour ago my guy with an enormous cauldron found a wineskin in battle--and they do work together, he's making 150 supply.
Why?!?!

Re: Item stacking rant
Because the effects dont stack, just like putting 2 water bracelets on a mage wont confer +2water magic(unless there is an item between them)

Re: Item stacking rant
Yup, duplicates of the same item won't work, although there's what appears to be a bug with this for commanders capable of carrying more than 2 misc items.
Otherwise you'd never need to forge a treelord staff (2 thistle maces would be just as good) for example

Re: Item stacking rant
yeah, however similar effects from different items do stack. a summersword+wineskin+cauldron is worth 250 supply.
fireskull combined with that fire helmet gives you +2 fire. throw in that flaming eye artifact and its +3 fire...
but two flaming skulls - no dice.

Re: Item stacking rant
I don't care how many cars you have you can still only drive one at a time. That's why.

Re: Item stacking rant
Oh my. But commanders can only give that broth to so many troops per turn. I mean they cannot let those normal troops share that yummy broth because they cannot hold any misc items.

Re: Item stacking rant
On this point, an Arco player had a mage with 2 eyes of penetration. Do those stack to give +4 penetration? Or did he blind his mage for no benefit?
The mage in question did seem very effective in casting soul slay and mind hunt.
Oh and on a related note has anyone noticed astral mages do not appear to defend against mind hunt like it says in the manual, I have never seen a mage feebleminded even when mind hunting a astral mage.

The mage is blinded, but it was likely done automatically when a different mage with an eye of aiming died on the battlefield.

Those are both 100 precision spells, so they always hit.
