missing featrures or RTFM?
1) victory condition
Why not have an "allied victory"? Isn't it one mayor point of alliances?
2) carriers in strategic combat with fighters on board -
look just as those with no fighters on board. Wouldn't it be nice to have some optical indication to tell them apart?
3) Mine fields
Usually I set them up to block a Warppoint. Thus arises the need to restock them. I'd love to tell one(or more) of my minelayers to "see if there are 20 mines or more - if not get some and lay them there".
4) way points or rather: destination
Can I set way points so that newly produced ships automatically go to that preset destination?
Thanks for any clarifications, hints, ...!!

Re: missing featrures or RTFM?
1. you can change victory conditions at the beginning of a new game, not quick start, in one of the menus
2. right click to see datails about a ship, incluing cargo/fighter
3. can't be done
4. empire menu, select waypoints, create your waypoints here
go to you shipyard and assign a waypoint to it
( i think this is how it works, i tried it only once, so i maybe wrong, but it is possible )

Q: When he went, had you gone and had she, if she wanted to and were able, for the time being excluding all the restraints on her not to go, gone also, would he have brought you, meaning you and she, with him to the station?
A: Objection. That question should be taken out and shot.

Re: missing featrures or RTFM?
Again, agreeing with Lemmy's post:
1: Set victory conditions to "entire galaxy at peace for 2 years" and "conditions only apply after 4 years" or something similar. That will allow allied victories.
2: I don't think that would be a good idea - disguising the number of fighters on your ship is a tactical advantage I wouldn't want to give up. Of coursee, if you have long rang scanners, you can fly past an enemy carrier and see what's on board. Which is fine.
3. Can't be don, but you're right, it would be a nice feature. I'd like to see all sorts of Boolean operators available for order stacking, allowing you to program ships and fleets ("IF enemy ship in system X THEN pursue/ attack UNTIL supplies<1000", "WHILE cargo < 90% WAIT">
4. Like Lemmy said, it's there somewhere.

I guess that's what I was looking for. BUT isn't "mega evil" and other AI settings avoiding this?? Will the AI -as an ultimate goal- not always try to kill me regardless of alliances?

Sure. I was talking about a single player game.

You beat me to a good formulation of what I was looking for.
Thanks!

MEE can also be turned off, or have its trigger levels adjusted. The values are in Settings.txt.

Re: missing featrures or RTFM?
MEE only applies if you are much bigger than the second place player. If you and your allies share the galaxy, then MEE won't occur.
All you have to do is play the politics game, and get everybody you can to be friends. Any races who won't ally with you and your friends, you must defeat.
The "only applies after 4 years" is totally unnecesary, since a treaty of "none" does not count for an allied victory. For an allied victory, every race must have met every other surviving race, and have a treaty of trade or better.
