Prophetizing under siege
Has anyone else noticed that while under siege you cannot annoint a prophet who is in the castle being sieged?
This IMHO doe not make much sence. Is it a bug or WAD?

Re: Prophetizing under siege
Maybe you cant be declared a prophet unless you have all the people in the province to witness?

Re: Prophetizing under siege
I have thought of alot or roleplaying reasons but none hold up.
I thought that maybe you have to make a pligramage to a holy site ( the capital) but of course you cannot annoint even if your under siege in your own capital. so that doe not work. I dont know. It seems like a bug, or rather something that was left out.

Re: Prophetizing under siege
It makes perfect sense to me. Imagine your future prophet standing on a podium before a large crowd, or wandering through the streets of a besieged city, promising salvation while rocks are flying down. It is like the saying, "there are no atheists in foxholes."
What BETTER time to anoint a prophet?

My point exactly. To me it seems like a bug.

I agree, should be allowed. Seems like an oversight.

Re: Prophetizing under siege
I dunno, seems okay to me. I expect it would pretty tough to communicate with somebody under seige inside a castle.

Re: Prophetizing under siege
Although, if you are trapped within your castle how do you let your entire nation(and the world) know who your new prophet is?

Re: Prophetizing under siege
You send out a bunch of messengers. Just like you can still send messages when you are under siege. They've got a little white flag taped to their hats and no-one attacks them .
