LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
I have a ridiculously high earth gem income with LA ry'leh. A good amount of research, and I just hit construction 4.
Any idea what I should do with all these things? (besides turning them into other gems)

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
You can always trade them away.
Otherwise, I'd go for earth boots and Dwarven Hammers. You can forge some other nice astral/earth and fire/earth gear, too.

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
If you want to get out of the water soon, you could save those earth gems up, research one more level to Const 5, and spam some clockwork horrors. Earth boots will only be good for trades, because your starspawn don't have feet. Unless you're lucky, you'll also need to spend 30 gems to empower an E1 starspawn to E2 to be able to summon them. But who knows, you could even get lucky and recruit an E3 starspawn, and then you could make crushers too.
If you're dead set on forging, of course build a hammer. You can probably make some nice items with your starspawn like Crystal Coins and Matrix items. Girdles of Might are not bad for SCs with no feet. You can probably do some trades with those items, hammers, and Earth boots too.

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
The earth boots and perhaps empowerment to get some mages up to E3. Then mess about with Blade Wind, the group protection buffs and the spells that attack enemy protection. Stripping enemy protection or boosting your own will not go astray. LA Ry'leh could well use some extra protection on the freespawn, making them a bit more useful in combat.

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
earth boots won't help r'lyeh at all...no feets. Also to empower for the sole reason of blade wind/some buffs is expensive. Anyway you are bound to get E2 mages unless you are seriously unlucky, so i would go for summons, or better yet trade the gems to get other more useful gems (especially water/death).

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
Hmm, good point about the feet. True, empowering just for blade wind is pricy, but he did suggest he has a ton of extra gems. Also, I have always found those buff and, particularly, Destruction, to be underrated by a lot of players. Further, it may open up some new forging opportunities that were not previously available. I guess a lot depends if it is MP or not…

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
I'm glad I asked. I didn't realize until you guys started talking about it that my mages have no feet. I was going to empower a E1 slave mage, but then I realized no feet slot for him =\

Re: LA Ry\'leh, help wanted
Don't empower an e1, just hire more starspawns and you will get an e2 (should get 1/14 or something like that). I have actually gotten e3 mages last 3 times i played r'lyeh but thats pretty lucky, but e2 you will get.

Yeah, I think that's like 0.15625% chance of happening.
I think I'm going to try to trade, or start summoning living statues.
