Interesting. I particularly zero'd in on the comment about them bringing classic Avalon Hill boardgames to the PC. That would include one of my favorites Magic Realm which is on my watch list. Some of the other classic games that might get remade such as Master of Magic (MoM), VGA Planets 4, King of Dragon Pass (KoDP), and Stars! are games that I watch and try to stear toward Shrapnel.

I was most struck by Scott's comment that "The games industry does thrive on a lot of talk and wishful thinking." Maybe the ICv2 articles would be more meaningful to someone who works in the industry, but as a mere consumer, I just see a lot of blueskying and corporate buzzwords. It looks to me like WotC is throwing a hodge-podge of ideas against the wall to see what sticks.
