Could you upload the original image somewhere?
If its too big, RapidShare.de will do for something quick, or Megaupload.com
Since it seems to weigh in at 2.3 mb, you could upload it to xs.to without any hassle whatsoever.

You know that one pure white pixel (HTML color code #ffffff) translates to "here is a province" in-game, right?

Re: problem with my first map (tga file)
Mathusalem - the white checkboard squares the problem. Go with another color or a non 255,255,255 RGB white. (254,254,254 should be fine).
The problem is there are infinite flags are every 255,255,255 white pixel (until it runs out, I think there is a limit).

Re: problem with my first map (tga file)
Yep I have had that happen a few times.
Another question related to map problems.
Is there some reason why I cannot make a boarderless map?
When I place the dots the map editor only finds one province. Must i have borders?

Re: problem with my first map (tga file)
In my experience, visual borders have no meaning. Are all of your white dots exactly 255,255,255. I ask because GIMP default is pressure sensitive clicking, so a light click only gets you part of the way to 255,255,255.

You don't need visual borders, but doing a map without them if the provinces are irregularly shaped will make navgating the map a nightmare. I should know, the first Dom2 Faerun map was like that.

Re: problem with my first map (tga file)
Maybe my dots are not pure white, I will have to check. I have Gimp but mostly I use Paint.net its easier.
