Monster Boar?
Does anyone know how much unrest the Monster Boar spell actually causes? I've cast it a few times in SP games, but there seems to be no way to see how much damage it is doing. It seems cool, and thematic, and I remember the post that lead to it's creation, but I would like to know if it is worth the 10 gem cost.

Re: Monster Boar?
Haven't seen that spell yet, even in the research tree... nature isn't my forte.
Still, as you can track the effectiveness of a bane venom charm by moving through your own terrain, perhaps you can boar yourself?

Re: Monster Boar?
Ive been Boared. Its Boaring. You gotta send a hunting party to go kill it, and its not hard to kill. So its a mere inconvenience to the enemy.

Re: Monster Boar?
Yeah, in a MP game I was considering spamming it around about 10 provinces with the thought that it'll be worth the cost if it occupies 2 or 3 armies for several turns, but I've got a sneaking suspicion my 10 gem investment is going to be about as effective as a 30 gold spy who can't move.

And who won't spy. I haven't seen the spell in play, but I can't imagine the rampaging boar is going to report his findings back to you every month.

Re: Monster Boar?
It's an interesting spell, but for 10gems it's too expensive. The cost should be around 7 gems.

Re: Monster Boar?
Someone reported that it can be very hard to catch with patrols, unless you have loads of stuff, fliers and whatnot. But that might have just been bad luck.
Like all animal spells, it does seem overpriced. But it's very fun.

Re: Monster Boar?
The Monster Boar is Stealthy (+10). So, it's a bit harder to catch than a vanilla scout. It's only got MR5. I wonder if you can:
Just Mind Hunt it, without actually patrolling and finding it.
Patrol, Charm it, and send it to an enemy province. Will it cause unrest? Give it a Black Heart, for a speedy trampling size-5 assassin.

Re: Monster Boar?
I've had it cast on me multiple times in an SP game recently. The thing is incredibly easy to spot (10 pd will do it), and also incredibly easy to kill (it is just a pig after all). Generally my Harpies in the PD would kill it the first turn of the battle.
Definitely not worth the 10 gems it costs.

Re: Monster Boar?
you can check how much damage it does to your enemy by checking there income on the score graphs.
