Screen Shots
How do you get screen shots of Dominion3? Every time I try to take a screen shot I get whatever is running underneath Dom3 - might be my e-mail, word, or desktop.
Tried PrintScreen, Alt-PrintScreen, Ctrl-PrintScreen, etc.
Does Dom need to be ruinning in window instead of full-screen mode? And how do you run in window mode, it isn't in the manual that I cna find.
Sory for the newbie question.

Hi Fellow Mainer!
I don't know how on a PC, but on a Mac, you type Command-Shift-4.

Re: Screen Shots
Control-Tab to switch between windowed and full-screen, or if that doesn't work, choose:
Options (in the menu on the right)
Video Preferences
Deselect the Fullscreen checkbox.

Re: Screen Shots
To get screenshots is easy mate, in fullscreen just press the printscreen button, alt tab, open paint or another application similar to paint and paste it in.

Re: Screen Shots
I use FRAPS, don't think I've ever had trouble getting screen shots with that. Do a search for that program. It's free, with the full version being capable of video capture.

Re: Screen Shots
If you're on windows, switching to a window is Alt+Tab.
You could also go to Preferences in the game, go to the Video one and tick off Fullscreen.
I think there's also a -windowed command line argument.
As for taking screenshots, while the ordinary way should work, I'm using a program called FastStone Capture. It's not technically freeware, but it's "Free for Home Users". It's pretty good. It automatically saves a screenshot to a predefined location, in a predefined format whenever you click whatever button it is you decided. (It even has all sorts of options as to what to capture - the active window, everything, a rectangle etc.)
(If I made any mistakes, please excuse me. It's ~7:30 AM and I did not sleep.)

Re: Screen Shots
Vista doesn't seem to want me to take pictures in full-screen mode no matter what.
Thanks vfb for the Ctrl-Tab to to switch to windowed screen, now I can take screen shots.

Re: Screen Shots
I have that sme problem ocassionally with Vista. Its been a while, but if i recall correctly the solution is to capture the image in windowed mode with nothing else running in the background.
FedSlayer, Does windowed captures work reliably for you even with stuff running in the background?
