Taking sea provinces
Hi, I'm rather new to Dom3, been playing for a couple of days now. I know certain spells grant land armies the ability to go underwater but the ones I know of require a certain experience in water magic, but playing as Marignon it will be rather costly to empower my way to those water levels....I'm sure there is an obviously easier way of going underwater that I'm just not aware of.....so please, enlighten me ! ^^ (I unfortunetaly dont have the manual, otherwise I would not be bothering you with this )

Re: Taking sea provinces
Better than empowering is building water path boosters such as water bracelet (+1 level).
Better than bracelets are itesm such as sea kings goblet, carried by an undead commander.
Another path: Conjuration: Contact Sea King - gives you a sea troll that lets you conquer.
Finally, there are some provinces that will have illythid or merman troops and leaders that can do what you seek.

Perfect, I'll give forging those bracelets a shot and try to get lucky with the provinces I conquer. Thank you Chris.

Re: Taking sea provinces
Some undead can go underwater too. And in the very late game there's a spell called Thetis' Blessing that let's all land units go underwater, but it does require water magic.

Re: Taking sea provinces
Reading the posts on this forum helps, there's a lot of useful information on here, and for the rest I just figure it out. ( I never said I was any good mind you... )

Re: Taking sea provinces
I think what he meant was that you actually need the manual to play the game, as the CD-key is written inside.

Re: Taking sea provinces
The game's been installed for a while now, but I have no idea where I left the manual, as I never got around to playing or reading the damn thing.
