Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
When the guru/yogi dies of old age it becomes one with your dominion. In game terms that means you get a permanent +1 in dominion. I'm not sure on the details though.
If I remember correctly there is a bug in the text message that appears when the subject dies. Instead of the name and location (?) it displays nonsense.
Don't quote me on any of this though...

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
+1 dominion for one death? might as well choose 1 dominion to start out with and suicide 9. that's really cheap.

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
It wouldn't QUITE work to suicide 9, because it sounds like it needs to be death of old age.

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
even so that sounds real interesting combined with a Burden of Time. Real interesting. Does anyone have an idea on the mechanism?

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
Yes, as I wrote above I'm quite sure they need to die of old age.

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
I knew I've read it somewhere faaar back, somehow it stuck. It took some digging but here is the quote:
Quote:
Kristoffer O said:
> I don't think the White Ones reincarnation has any game-play effects (like getting a free unit or something). I like to think that being reincarnated as a Markata is what happens to a Guru if they didn't lead a good enough life though
Of course it has an effect (unless some bug has appeared). The white one might reincarnate, in name and body (although the body might be a lesser or greater one, dependent on the karma of the white one). Or become one with the awakening god, increasing dominion.

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
I've had white apes come back as minor sacreds and low level priests when they died in combat. Anyone had them come back as better than that?

Re: Bandar Log reincarnation
"Increasing dominion" would probably mean "dominion is increased in the province" instead of permanent increase in the dominion spread mechanics. If that's your only source, Dedas, I very much doubt the guru death works as you said it would.
Also:
29th sep
* Version 3.10
* Guru reincarnation bug fixed.
I think the '[][][][][][][] has been reincarnated' bug has been fixed.
