Humiliating Victory Stories !
Hey can you guys share some of your overwelming victory stories and how you finished off your weak opponents.
The last time I won a game I had more than 3/4 of all the provinces (with Fomoria) and the poor EA Yomi had the remaining 1/4. Instead of agressively taking them all my regular millitary units I decided to do something special. Just to see how it worked I ammased an army of about 60 Well Equiped Golems and slowly crushed his 125 PD provinces and army. It was a slow and painfull death.

Golems? 2 of them would take down 125PD of Yomi with trampling, but they would die to time limit. Tartarians would be better as they don't rout.

Re: Humiliating Victory Stories !
The first game I ever won in SP was with Tien Chi. After getting the upper hand, I began amassing hundreds and hundreds of pikes and just throwing them at the enemy armies. No strategy involved, just turtling, managing of infrastructure, and relentless, all-consuming, pikes production. I hardly even bothered to build supporting units for them, and eventually I think I even gave that up. I just pincushioned everything to death.

Re: Humiliating Victory Stories !
Playing hinnom in single player i cast release lord of civilisation for the first time and was lucky to get the truly epic Azazel, without even tooling him up first i just sent him out to take out the enemy one by one, i only used my armies for defence and azazel over a slow period of time wiped out the remaining 3 enemies by himself without picking up an afliction.
gotta love that 'the first sword' 21 armor piercing damage, 7 attack bonus, 7 defence bonus, truly epic

Re: Humiliating Victory Stories !
In one MA game I was playing man and was in distant second place to the leader, MA Mictlan. I was sieging one of his castles to draw him into a fight. I had 3 troll kings and 3 sea troll kings all with const 6 items. 4 of the trolls were in the hall of fame. I had Gift of health up and a large portion of the army had come in from a dominion 6 province so had extra hits going into the fight. I had all of the trolls from those 6 summonings as well as 100+ longbow and some man infantry. 4 wiches teleported in. 3 Ivy kings with thug gear. And the Anvil to which his army was supposed to crack upon-- An Earth lord with every peace of magic resistance gear you can have: Lead shield, Starshine cap, amulet of anti magic, rainbow armor, and I had casted anti magic the first round with the only astral mage I had at the fight. So, the earth lord had some stupid high MR. The earth lord was positioned at the front of the army. I was one evocation level from casting earthquake so I could not do a Fog Warriors/Earthquake so I had to do with mass regen/mass reinvigoration/storm warriors. (storm warriors because he had all 3 air queens and I was afraid of them teleporting in), mass air shield, mass aim. mass protection.
The anticipated Mictlan army showed up. about 12-16 turkeys/coutals in a reverse communion. The main bulk of his army was eagle warriors (and me with no storm scripted due to fear of air queens :/) His spells were bless (F9,N4,B6), fog warriors, Doom, mass reinvigoration, mass air shield.
Basically his fog warrior blessed sacreds flew to the rear and ripped up the archer squads and then the witches. The troll rank and file held out for a little longer but with no magic weapons could not get thru the fog warriors. The Earth lord worked as intended and resisted mass paralyze/soul slay attempts from the huge communion and had a clump of eagle warriors all around him.
My now fully buffed troll kings and Vine kings had now started entering the fight. Their quickened fire blades and frost blades desperatly trying to hack down the eagle warriors before the mass carnage that the rest of the forces of man were suffering would casue a general rout. The fight was swinging in mans favor... but it was too late. The archers and regular men at arms had had enough. The forces of man routed. And worse still!! Mictlan had slyly cut off all retreat and not one of mans thugs (all of which had survived to run off) had survived the fight.
Well, not All of mans forces died. Because, you see, The mighty Earth lord, who still was shrugging off spells from a huge astral communion and taking greivous attacks from the massed eagle warriors had slowly worked his way to the edge of the field while in full retreat. There, one step from freedom his luck finally failed him and he was paralyzed. Hour after Hour the heroic eagle warriors hacked at the paralyzed Earth lord, only to have their flaming weapon chip upon his iron hard skin. Spells designed to burn the mind and rip the soul were hurled with no effect. Finally, as darkness approached, the leaders of the Mictlan army called "enough". The victorious Mictlan army was driven out by the lone, Mighty, Paralyzed, Earth Lord.
Yes, my most humiliating victory. I basically lost hunderds upon hundreds of gems worth in SC's, thugs and gear. But my multi afflictedearth lord was the last one standing.
