Rain of Stones?
Rain of Stones does not fully affect a 3000+ army. What's up with that? Attacking Ermor, for what it is worth.

Re: Rain of Stones?
There's definitely a size to "battlefield wide" AoE spells. Playing Ermor with 4-5k armies, I discovered that a large portion of my army wasn't affected by spells like mass flight, will of fates, arrow fend, fog warriors, etc.

Re: Rain of Stones?
Yes... Jazzepi is correct, unfortunately we'll have to wait for Dominions_4 development for these to be addressed.

Re: Rain of Stones?
Does anyone know how many troops can be affected by battlefield wide AoE spells by the way?

Re: Rain of Stones?
It's an AoE around the caster, I believe.
Something like 3k for Ermorian sized troops.

Re: Rain of Stones?
Fire Storm does fully effect the thousands of troops though.

Re: Rain of Stones?
Interesting. I guess BEs don't suffer from the same problem as BF-wide instant spells.

I'm sure the way it was done is that BF-wide simply have a huge AoE that, for the most part, hits everything, but BE makes a check for each unit every turn.

Re: Rain of Stones?
Yep If it's any consolation to you, while your Rain of Stone's will not hit my entire army... My own Battlefield wide buff's like my artifact that gives *All* my units Luck, or army of gold or such, does not in fact give all my units luck like it says, it does affect a large area but it does not actually affect the *ENTIRE* battlefield as it says it does. At least not when the entire battlefield consists of thousands of troops.
So it kind of works both ways.

Re: Rain of Stones?
I dont know that you can really say that Fire storm affects all units though.. I think it hits like what? 10% of units per turn or something like that. Seeing as how it doesnt hit 100% I think it would be difficult to say that it is in fact actually hitting the normal percentage of troops. The advantage there is that it just keeps going and going until eventually it will definitly be hitting the normal amount of troops per turn.
But it could be that battlefield Enchantments do actually do what they say opposed to Battlefield wide spells. It just doesnt matter so much either way in that case since it continues to work its magic for the duration.
