Unexpected Disease?
Well a lot of my commanders in a fort have suddenly become diseased.
So, why?
I have negative supplies, but that did never bother my commanders much, even in 0-pop-provinces.
Could my poison golem be the reason? He's diseased himself...

Re: Unexpected Disease?
Hmm, I had the fort up and manned for 30 turns at least.

Re: Unexpected Disease?
Here's a list of disease sites and the search paths required to find them.
D0: Inkpot End
D1: Chillsick Swamp
D1: Leper Fens
D2: Plaguewater Stream
D4: Crown of Darkness
B2: Pool of Unhealthy Rites
The above is shamelessly stolen from a previous vfb thread. Which I will now plug for him here. A great reference for these sort of things. Please thank him if you find it useful.

Re: Unexpected Disease?
As I said the fort has been there for 30 turns and that's the first time I noticed someone become diseased. Would be kind of a big coincidence if that was due to a site.

Re: Unexpected Disease?
How many units/commanders are in the fort? As sometimes you can get lucky with diseases sites, as their spread/infection rate is pretty low. But if you have a load of units/commanders in the fort then that's obviously less likely.
An enemy Bane Venom charm holder would give you a message saying "A very deadly disease is spreading in XYZ". I think all stealth units with innate reaper ability would also give you this message, although can't confirm that off the top of my head.
Has the fort been hit by spells recently? Rain of Toads, Leprosy?
Are there any globals up that could be causing it?

Re: Unexpected Disease?
Well it is Late Winter, but mostly young commanders are sick.
And even undead and lifeless so wtf?
The poison golem doesn't do it according to my tests and there was no message whatsoever.
