SemiRand Tourney Idea

Gandalf,

Why not set up a standard Semirand game, that is repeatable. (identical). Players do not know what they are up against.

The winner of the tourney being who ever beats it fastest?

Sounds interesting. Id be willing to host it but I dont think Id set it up. I love randoms too much to static one just to see who can beat who.

How would I do it. Suppose there was a chaos game. How would I make it identical (in setup)?

My chaos, srand, vsAI games are generated fresh each time. All it would take would be not generating a new map. The abilities and problems are the same as any other Dom3 game. If you start a new game on any Dom3 map some things are the same and some are different.

I suppose that it you wanted to make it extremely identical then you would need to make use of the map commands that dont tend to get much use. Design every province completely. Name each one, select its population, its magic sites, everything that the game does randomly if its left open.
