Old mages and Blood Nations
Why do people always advocate using boots of youth and not rejuvination?

How old are your mages?

Because boots of youth are cheaper? And can be put on any old mage, unlike rejuv which obviously only works on someone who can cast it. Plus its less micro since you can just have 1 or 2 guys forging them.

Re: Old mages and Blood Nations
indeed. And boots of youth cost less if you are using hammer, lasts indefinitely (though if you're on the verge of old age the rejuv will last for the rest of the game). Only way i'd see rejuv worth casting over boots is that you really need to use other feet slot items (earth boots) or if you really really really want to get rid of the old age maluses such as lowered precision.

Re: Old mages and Blood Nations
You can get to rejuvenate faster than boots (at least in CBM afaik). I sometimes will use rejuvenate on a Warlock with good picks if construction6 will take longer to get to than the next winter. It is fairly situational though.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! Boots of Youth work for all of your old mages, not just your old Blood mages.
Also, Boots of Youth provide a small amount of reinvigoration. Yes, Boots of the Messenger are better for reinvig, but Boots of Youth are a multitasker.

He stays 70, but gets no afflictions from old age.
