Question How do i restrict ritual to terrain?

Some rituals are only castable on certain terrains. For instance, `mountain vila' only works in mountains, and `hidden in sand' only works in deserts.

How do i restrict a certain ritual spell to forest? Mountain? Forest growin on mountain?

I searched thru official moddin guide and 99% sure there's no answer to the question

It's probably a new bitmask in the #spec field. lch or DrPraetorious should be able to tell you what it is, if it is indeed usable.

Meanwhile, just make a copy of the vila/sand/whatever spell and make changes to it. You can't change the #spec attributes though, of course.

so, to restrict ritual to forest, i need some to copy some forest-only ritual

And which ritual is forest-only? Or forest-mountain only?

Hmm. Forest only,....

Can't think of one off the top of my head. That restriction was only introduced relatively recently though I believe, so you'd only have to look through spells recently added to vanilla.

If you're talking about a summoning spell, you could give the monster it summons a forestshape which is the thing you want summoned, and a #firstshape which is something crappy, like a militia. That way if you summon it outside a forest it's just a militia, but if you summon it in a forest it can be something powerful.

I think Jomon's Mori-no-Kami is a forest only summon. They also have a mountain only summon.

At least the flavor text for the Bogarus spell to summon the Leshiy indicates it can only be cast in a forest. I've never tried elsewhere, though, so not sure if it's an actual enforced restriction.
