Fallout WinSPMBT and 32 bit Apple IPad

Well it's ironic that I've been told Friday the 13th is considered by some Italians as a lucky day, and I entered one entry from an Italian based wafer company available here in the states, and while at work CINCLANTHOME informs me I won/recieved an
Apple 32 bit IPad from them. There's something not right here so everyone needs to play your lottery as the world has turned upside down!!!!
But seriously, now that I have one, I should be able to upload the game from the PC with their USB device but, does anyone know if you can actually play the game on it?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Pat

I guess you need to virtualize windows to be able to, try virtualbox and tell us what you get.

Thanks! I had that "guinea pig" feeling, so unless I hear otherwise from someone I'll try it later this week or maybe check with Apple before I break something!

If you can install regular OSX software in you Ipad, i guess you should be able to run virtualbox from there, problem is i'm not sure you can actually do that, is it running OSX or the same one as the iphone?

All I can say for now is that I have to download the latest version of iTunes to the PC then connect the iPad for the setup with the supplied USB device provided. This will be done later today. But not getting that warm fuzzy feeling about what can I pull off my PC vs having to get apps from their store to make things work. Again will have a better feel for this later today vs post work now when running on reserves, needless to say we've tightened up a bit more here as of late.

Pat

In short...no. My fault never got to Apple folks to ask. However I did just sign up to join the "community" and have put the question out to them in the last ten minutes. On my own though no luck. Be careful before buying the "lite" version there has been hardly any talk of it vs previous versions in my area. If I had to buy one now I'd just go for the 64GB (Won the 32GB with plenty to spare still.) iPad, but that's all dependent on how your "connected" now with any other devices you may have. Will post results of my ? in a couple of days depending on responses.

Pat

Way to go Pat, tis a mad mad world.
The good news is you should be able to download a app that emulates windows, try parallels or IDos at a guess. It may even come with one.
Do read a bit on one first if its like the ones for the Mac there are diffrences, some emulate some make it act just like a PC,well better actually proper pallete etc so game runs easy peasy..
Either will probably do for WinSP.but need the second for modern games.

It would seem it will not be possible, answer is from one of the modirators I believe from the "Community" site. Here's the response...

This solved my question This helped me
You can't - only apps/games downloaded from the iTunes app store on your computer and the App Store app directly on the iPad can be installed on the iPad, PC (and Mac) software are not compatible with the iPad.

Sounds like a "Thread Killer" response. Maybe someday when Apple and MS will learn to get along better and it's to their mutual benefit? Not to worry I did the bolding.

Remember the dumb question won't get you killed, it's the one you didn't ask that will. A little something told to us in Sub School in Groton CT. and a little peek too on how "things" tick.

Pat

Okay well thats typical Mac i tunes is about the worst music supplier like there PCs but the other stuff aaargh, however
What operating system is it running, I thought you could put any operating system on it even windows if so desired. I am 99% sure there are apps for the standard operating system that let it run windows programs.
That said it did occur to me while it will probably run how are you going to play it, no mouse & WinSP is not going to respond to onscreen gestures. That I would guess is the real reason why you need a game writen for the tablet & not a PC port.
