A Desperate Plea For A Clear Movement Hotkey
Hello,
In the name of all that is sacred *please, please, please* add a new hotkey in the next patch that will remove (i.e. set to zero) the remaining movement points for a ship/fleet for the rest of that turn. I am so tired of scrolling through the same ships, over and over, that I don't want to move any more that turn.
This feature existed in SE3, and though I can't prove it, I swear it was in the first demo for SE4. In any event, please add this feature in SE4 Gold.
Thank you.

You could put the ships on sentry if you don't want them to move or show up in the next ship list.

Re: A Desperate Plea For A Clear Movement Hotkey
Ships on sentry have to be manually reactivated if the regarding system has not been visited by other races. So in lonesome areas you have to "recall" them.
Annoying sometimes, another workaround (but not better) you just create fleets for the "don't disturb" ships and under empire options you set the next ship function to "skip fleets". Bad also in case of fleets that you still want to control.
The proposal about clear movement button is a good idea, I tend to 2nd that.

Re: A Desperate Plea For A Clear Movement Hotkey
I'd like two clear movement buttons: One labelled "clear movement now" without disturbing any orders in the order queue and one which will add "clear movement" to the end of order queue.

You can always order the ship to go 3 spaces away and them return. Hotkey "M" is useful here. If you want to get rid of that ship, you can order it to sentry or to patrol(I believe this works even when the starting and ending sqare are the same). Be sure to turn on the "visit each location only once" option.

Re: A Desperate Plea For A Clear Movement Hotkey
In simultaneous move games, you can order the ship to move into the sector it is in. This prevents it from being in the next ship cycle, and also causes it to move nowhere at turn processing.
