Default Should I worry...

when the AI takes longer to do its turn than I do?

I resumed a solo game (FQM + TDM) with hard AI while waiting for a PBW game to show up, and the AI is taking a very long time to do its turn, I am scared...

How, fast is your System?

My old 200mhz, the process takes a very long time, as the game progresses and there are a few AI battles, going in the Quadrant

You should not worry. You should prepare, and look forward to a few lessons. The AI certainly teaches me a lesson or two now and then.

Is it TDM?

When the AI takes forever to do their turn it can only mean one thing...Well, two if you count that you have a slow computer possibly.

But the main thing would be that it is time to play PBW! You don't have to wait for the AI to play their turn. All action is processed on the server and emailed to you. How much better is THAT!?! (Geo, we can talk how much I get paid for promoting PBW later. )

(Note to everyone: I do not really get paid. I just said that in a sad attempt at humor.)

I use a 500MHz P2 and sometimes on HARD level of difficulty I wait about 5 mins for each AI player to finish his turn. Once or twice my game started slowing up even during my turn. I checked the subforlders and guess what i found
-- there were about 30 000 files in the savegame folder, a couple of KBs each After deleting these things got a lot better.
