FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
Here is a poll about Fyron's Quadrant Mod that applies equally to Standard and Deluxe.
For Question 2, Dense Mid-life is considered a different quadrant type than Sparse Mid-life.

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
There's no "zero" option for question #2.

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
Well then, you will need to try the mod out so you can answer it.

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
Just a quick comment (that also helps get it back to the top for better visibility... ).
I voted about decreasing but it was a hard vote for me. I mean, it's already built-in so why bother to take it out? Not hurting anything. But I voted that way because I spent a little time looking at all the types and a lot of them appear to be kinda similar. And I know how you use the term dense and sparse (which really requires one to "run around" comparing systems to see what the difference is).
The only thing that "bothered" me (and bear in mind I feel a bit weird about "complaining" about something free), is when you roll a lot of planets up, how often they get strung in a straight line along the edges. I suppose there's no helping it, though, or you might have changed it. Of course , you might prefer it that way.
Anyway, it's a good gift to the community!

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
If you look at the default Quadrants, you will see that almost all of them are identical except for the first few lines. They have the same systems in them exactly (mid-life, cluster, spiral, edge, grid, etc.). This made my job easier.
I assure you I did not intend for the planets to form lines. That is an idiosyncracy of how SE4 generates maps.

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
I realize your questions are geared toward a particular goal (or curiosity).
But, a couple other questions might have been asked:
(1) Do you think the mix of planets and atmospheres gives equal opportunity to any planet type and atmosphere.
(2) What is your favorite galaxy type?
(3) Which galaxy type would you like to see improvements upon?
(of course, this assumes you are interested in adding to what you have already done)

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
1. I think Ice gets the rough side, but it might just seem that way. I've seen the discussions, and the math, and I've never played Ice.
2. I like Huge Dense Clusters
3. I just like the Clusters, nice pinch points and things.

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
Cluster's rock! I love them. It's great to play a game with equal ammounts of races per clusters. And if you designate starting points it starts off pretty equal for all races. Or as equal as you can get with a generated map without spending ages on it!
Oh BTW, thank you Fyron for creating this mod, it's made my SEIV games much more interesting and less repetitive

Re: FQM Poll: Quadrant Choices
That is a nice distribution of votes on question 1. 2 votes for the Last option would make it perfectly symmetrical. Not that 2 votes for that one would be good, but it would look nice.

I can answer that right now. They do not. I forget exactly who has the advantage, but I think that Ice planets get a slightly smaller percentage of facility space than they do in unmodded SE4. The atmospheres are no longer quite balanced, but they are close. This is a result of disproportional numbers of new planet images from the Image Mod. I added nearly all of the images from there, and they seem biased towards certain types of planets.
