Nope, since the art is the least fun for me to do, I was going to wait and see if there is interest in playing the mod first. (And/or if others were interested in helping create art for the mod).
Components will just be like the Vehicle Portraits (ie, M:TG pictures). Not sure what to do about the "starmap". All my amateurish efforts towards making a background resulted in the blinding of my test monkeys. Planets/Warpoints etc depend on what the "starmap" looks like, so holding off on that as well.

Re: Fantasy Empires Mod
Get some grass textures (search on Google) and make the "starmap" look like a field of grass.
Maybe the grass on this page?
Or this page.

Re: Fantasy Empires Mod
I made a nice grass background image for you. Of course, the planets look weird, as they are meant to have black backgrounds. I think they black boxes will disappear if you turn on the masking in SystemTypes.txt.

Heh, googling grass was the first thing I tried a few months back (before I gave up), but it seems you found a much better sample than I did... Mine hurt eyes, yours looks good.
Still, though, kind of jarring with the rest of the blue and black in the UI. Maybe if I change the blues to greens?
Thanks a lot. Let it be known that Fyron knows where to get good grass.

You mean with the grass? You found a good sample. Thanks.
You mean how it looks with the rest of the UI? All that green doesn't look good with the default color scheme for SE4. Fortunately, I can change the colors for the main window from SE4 Blue to MSPaint Green. Strangely, and I think there was a thread on this, you can't mod all the UI art elements. Namely, the windows that pop up, like the Ship Design Window, Planets window, etc.
