Dom 2's equivalent of the Boogey Man. It's whom the peasants use to scare their children into doing what they're told. It's a nightmare for anyone who doesn't have a fully-equipped SC (or several mini-SCs).
Then there's our pal, Orion & company ...

Bogus and company are hard, but I think Orion is over-rated. 1000 xp? Big deal. Anyway, the AI seems to get Orion killed real fast whenever they hire him. Bogus' people on the other hand have really cool stuff and that guy with the lifesteal sword is especially tough.

Re: Eater of the Dead?
Normally, a band of commanders will route as soon as any one of them is killed. But, IIRC, this is not true of Bogus and colleagues. Am I right on this, and if so, what is going on?

Re: Eater of the Dead?
Bogus can go berserk. Kartuk can summon ghost wolves. If this occurs they won't rout.

By implication, does this mean that you can always prevent a commander from routing by giving them the "magical trinket" named Berserker Pelt?

Yep. That underrated Berserker Pelt ;-). There are some cool tricks you can do with that. Like, if you're Jotun, giving pelts to a few Jotun scouts and have them 'guard' your lightly defended borders. A non-berserk Jotun leader will rout as soon as the PD routs. OTOH A Jotun scout with a Wraith Sword and a pelt may win the fight vs a raiding party that's big enough to rout your PD.
