Hadrian, why did you shut down your web site?
If you don't want to talk about it, thats fine, I'll respect that.
Its just good to know that your still around.

You did not cause any problems, our problems are that we have a sh*tty OS in NT and an even sh*ttier web service in IIS 4 .
Working on it though...

What a relief, I thought maybe that some hacker decided to take my criticisms personally and set a virus on you. My brother tells me the new virus "Red Worm" attacks only servers. So it could be that although the virus is going around, somebody like Arcadenut gifted it to you personally in a post....

Wha!?!?!?!?! Shrapnel is using the crapware instead of the best? Why? Apache is BIGGER than IIS and rightly so. It's more stable, has more features, and there is more support for it! I recommend that you switch your site to Gnu/Linux or a FreeBSD flavor and get Apache setup as soon as possible. As the traffic on your site grows, the flaws in MickeySoft products are going to become more and more apparent. With the jump to Win XP coming soon, you'll find yourself more and more locked into the orbit of MS 'preferred' services, too. They've got plans to squeeze out practically every independent software product, even firewalls!

Re: Forum slooooooowly loading...
Actually in my full time I am one of the Senior Unix Admins for all of att.com's web servers, so your preaching to the choir.
Unfourtnately this decision was made before I joined Shrapnel and at this point we don't have the time, energy, or IT department to port all of our legacy stuff from NT on IIS to maybe Solaris with Apache or iPlanet (one of those two would be my choice).
Maybe once we can start funding an IT department but not now...

LOL! When has that ever happened in any of the multi-billion dollar budget companies? If they can't find room for it, what makes you think you can???
(Please no flames, i mean this purely as satorical humor. Hell, I can't even spell right tonight!)
