Default PBW: My ships can\'t move

Hi,
I have a weird problem in one of my PBW games: My ships can't move! They have engines and everything, but I think since I've started retrofitting one of them and stopped it the next turn, they don't do anything anymore. (I've tried it with the attack order, now I'm checking the move to order). I'm in war with my neighbour and my ships do nothing!

Who has an idea?

Gorgo

if you retrofitted your engines and have none left, you are dead in space until they can be repaired.

do they say movement 0/0 or 0/6 or 6/6 or what? do they look like a base and not have a moveto order or a movement measurement?

Also, remember that a fleet will only go as fast as it's slowest ship, so if you have fleeted fully working ships with a space station (no movement) or a ship that's mid- retrofit (engines not yet repaired, no movement) then your good ships will be immobile.

I even tried to dissolve the fleet and move every ship on its own. Even the non-retrofitted ships don't move! With the ones I tried to retrofit, they have no repair sign on them, so I supposed they should be ready.

Possibly an intel op, causing one of your ships to lose movement, and thus, halting the entire fleet?

This happened to a player in one of my games, he had a fleet that just would NOT move, no matter what the order....no real reason. He dissolved the fleet and then made two seperate ones, they moved after that......seems to be a small bug somewhere.....

Gorgo,

Can you tell me what game? This is the second report we have had like this. I am sure it's not PBW, but it could be an SEIV bug. I'd like to take a look at it.

Thanks for all your replies!

To Geoschmo: The game is Gorgos First. Would be appreciated if you could have a look at it!

This is a game where no player uses any intelligence until the next patch (by agreement).

The game is standard 1.41, so no special movement modding is involved.
Some of the ships had a movement of 6/6, some 0/6 (retrofitted and new one, I think).

After I dissolved the fleet, still the ships wouldn't move, even those with the 6/6 movement.

They were frigates and destroyers. I think I had not moved the destroyers before, yet they were properly constructed (6 engines, no warnings).

are your other orders being carried out? i presume that your turn file is being accepted and processed correctly. if you are using a mod that the server is not, it could be concieveable that while your turn is being processed, something about the way those ships are handled conflicts with your mod and that bit is ignored.

When it happened to me (I was the other instance). My Fleet veered off course and parked over an allied planet. I tried over several turns to make it move to various places (even just one space away). I even changed which ship was the leader several times. It never budged. Everywhere else my empire functioned perfectly. Including other fleets. It finally moved when I split off about a half dozen ships into a second fleet. Suddenly both fleets moved with the correct orders. The original fleet was only around 20 ships and was fully supplied.

The game was Standard SE4.
No Ministers were on. (Though just before they moved I turned them all on and then off again. So this could have also helped.)
No Intel was being used (by mutual agreement)
