Yes it is quite exciting to get in contact with people who actually participated in these historical events.
I understand very well what you also felt by getting in contact with such HEROES (Honor and Responsibility).

I was very lucky that Steve Moore gave me all the support I needed in order to clarify some fine details by asking (indirectly) his father, Lt. Gen Hal Moore.

Concerning Skirmisher, I agree with you that his was outstanding in both his evaluation and the level of commitment during this project!
