Iirc the shroud costs only 5 pearls?
Sounds like an interesting pan strat, take oracle and good scales and forge shrouds for your pans

. Also Pan is one of the nations which doesn't neccessarily need a SC god for earlygame imho.

I'm fairly sure the shroud does not reduce upkeep...

I agree, I don't think the shroud reduces upkeep - the commander is blessed but not sacred.

I thought that all prophets have upkeep of zero, but I havn't tested it out.

Yes, prophets have 0 upkeep, sacred units half, shroud does nothing upkeep wise.

Still leaves prophetizing a high-cost non-sacred commander rather appealing - even more so than when I thought it was half upkeep.

Does Shroud work for sacred units, then? Or is the "priceless" part of being prophet instead of being perma-blessed?
