* New games:
-
The Blitz games, hosted on IRC.
- Method of hosting: TCP/IP for the blitz itself.
- Description: these games are started on the weekends, and are always looking for new players. The actual blitz means getting as many turns in as possible, before switching to a more common turnaround. More information can be found in the game thread.
-
The Shephreds of Creation scenarios
- Method of hosting: TCP/IP for now, though a PBEM game can be hosted if enough players (seven) are interested.
- Description: these games use an Illwinter made scenario, available
here. Seven human players fight against a powerful AI, but only one can win. The special features of the map are kept a secret, but Kristoffer said there were a lot of scripted provinces for sites, population or both.
* Games already started, and looking for a replacing player:
-
Yarnspinners , hosted by Alneyan
- Method of hosting: PBEM; the mail address is alneyan[AT]fastmail[DOT]co.uk
- Turnaround of the game: Twice a week
- Map:
Cradle
- Description: This is a fairly slow game, especially intended for writers, though writing is not mandatory. The victory condition is based on points: some of them will be awarded to the leading nations in the graphs, and the rest is given when submitting yarns. The current turn is 34, and the game will end at turn 60.
- Nations available: Abysia and Caelum are looking for another player. Caelum is currently fighting Ermor, and Abysia may be close to war with R'lyeh. Of the two, Caelum seems to be in the better shape, at least according to the scores.
