In my second try at CoE2, my main barbarian army (several warriors, some horse warriors and several archers along my barbarian main leader) was near a mountain that was near what seemed to be a kind of blue globe (the one you can use to view far land).
There was an army in this mountain, but after checking it was just some kind of small stag, so instead of walking around the mountain i decided to attack the stag.
A screen appeared telling me that i was offered some help in exchange of some money. I wondered why this screen appeared as i never noticed this before, and the opponent was a single hopeless small stag in front of my army that was successfull in several battles before.
So i declined the help (it was rather expensive too) and was surprised to not face a single stag but a party of adventurers ... and one of them in the front line was the same Bogus that liked to destroy my troops in Dominions 3
My army and leader were entirely destroyed by this party, but at least they succeeded to kill Bogus and one of the guy in the front line.
That actually costed me the game as i lost my citadel and my last commander in the same turn.
Next time i will be very cautious when i see a small animal alone
