Re: APC Development and related topics.
Don,
I'm thinking last year sometime maybe during or after March 2024.
Edit: Went back to bounce your START against mine when I realized there's your timeline-MAYBE.
I would refer you to the following:
MBT Thread/Page 177/Posts 1764-1769/First I believe was on March 11th.
It's the same tank as you have it in the game now.
Your tank as you built it is a difference of " pennies away" from my numbers for the same after I checked my notes.
Sometimes great minds come together.
As the " experts" were saying it's no match against either the K1A2 (My thought.) or more precisely the K2 specifically.
Pat

Re: APC Development and related topics.
You might have missed the following as I added it after that post was added. From Post 750 this thread.
" Edit: Went back to bounce your START against mine when I realized there's your timeline-MAYBE. "
Just wanted to provide the posts when it first came up in discussion for that tank.
As to the other and from the ref from armyrec.com the following..
"When compared to other contemporary main battle tanks such as South Korea’s K2 Black Panther, Turkey’s Altay, Germany’s Leopard 2A8, France’s Leclerc XLR, or the American M1A2 SEP V3, the Cheonma-2 still lags in terms of digital networking, mobility, and possibly fire control sophistication. The K2, for example, features advanced composite armor, a highly automated fire control system, and a hydro-pneumatic suspension for superior cross-country mobility. The Leopard 2A8 integrates Trophy APS, fully digital battlefield integration, and state-of-the-art optics. The Leclerc XLR has been upgraded with enhanced digital command systems and a new remotely operated turret-mounted machine gun. At the same time, the M1A2 SEP V3 emphasizes survivability through improved armor and counter-IED measures, along with advanced thermal sights and new data-link capabilities."
It is definitely the North Koreas best tank to date.
As I noted Don and I were only " pennies apart" literally in our independent builds.
Both had APS/ TI/GSR I had 40/or Generous Big Maybe 45/ FCS My only difference was in SURVIBILITY which I had at 4/To ALL Armor Values it was like " Looking into a mirror" for the most part.
It's my Monday time to go!!
Regards,
Pat

Re: APC Development and related topics.
Though they don't have them yet, the agreement has been signed to where the Ukraine will be getting them I would think by this Fall (Oct.).
I thought I saw some discussion of this equipment fairly recently but apparently not in this thread.
I would direct your attention to Para 5 of the ref because I believe there again was some discussion about Ukraine getting the LAV 6.0 we worked on a handful of years ago. Ukraine got 91 of them.
So this might clear up a couple of issues.
https://www.armyrecognition.com/news...nce-operations
Still working on Taiwan tank issue. Ran into a situation concerning the improved M-60A3 it will require a date change to the right and it looks like it doesn't have the 120mm either.
Recent articles are showing it retained the 105mm thought they are brand new manufactured guns. Further it appears they'll be using the 105mm ammo that was to be allocated for the I believe CM-21 " SNOW LEOPARD" for which you'll not be glad that Taiwan has cancelled. The " older" round could penetrate 450mm RHA whereas the " newer" round" can penetrate depending on source 500-525mm RHA.
No one said this would be easy if it was everyone would be doing this I suppose!?!
Regards,
Pat
