I do not recall the exact distance but I believe the targets were between 400-600 meters. That seems within range but it is a smaller caliber so you might be right...

Gila, You are right, it will suppress the armor (but less than infantry). but air will get you a kill more often than arty. As for friendly fire, I would not call in a strike with friendlies within...

In my games I always have a couple airstrikes available. The recon value is tremendous IMO (though a cheaper scout plane would be more appropriate), that and an airstrikes ability to do pinpoint...

I swear that the only way to find out what unit was loaded on a transport (HT, tank, truck, etc.) was to go to the Unit Menu. Now I notice that if you right click on the loaded transport you can see...

Oh yeah, I have had machine guns damage armored vehicles before. I do not recall if they were pen 1 or pen 0 though... It happens occasionally...usually when you least want it to in a PBEM game :)
