I've had this happen a few times as well, although I mostly had problems getting the log window back in front of the main game window... I've never found a really reliable way to get the windows...

I started a singleplayer game with the new components.txt posted here, but it looks like it's still broken for the two AI's living on ice worlds.
The others have pretty much fully colonized the part...

The interface colours change in the old screenshots too, actually.
Blue = Strategic.
Red = Tactical combat.
Green = Ground combat.

I have some difficulty imagining what surface combat is going to be like, what with tactical combat being realtime 3d and all. If the surface combat from SE4 is used, you'll probably have to pause...

I think it would be even better if there was some intel project "Plant agent", which you could run against planets ships etc. Having more agents in one place would give you bonuses for further intel...

I liked the suggestion that recharging shields use energy.
Somewhat along the same lines I'd also like to let engines use energy. (Scaled according to speed or acceleration or something)
