LA Caelum vs. Ermor

I'm playing LA Caelum on Glory of the Gods (the 480 province version). My first neighbor is Ermor. I've always had problems dealing with ermor in Dom2, and I still can't manage to deal with them...

I'm in love with EA Vanheim. Glamour troops are really fun and they survive very well. I don't even use a blessing and my casualties have never been greater than 4 in any given battle, vs. indies...

While this may be true in Dom2, this need not be true in Dom3. A buffing of anti-arrow spells mages have access to might help, as well as other changes, perhaps allowing bodyguards to soak up arrow...

I think this sort of thing would/could fuel a very interesting discussion on hard counters vs. soft counters. I'd expect a game like dominions to be a really soft counter game, but there are many...
