Re: Vanilla LA - hosted [started]

I'm out of town a week--hopefully the server will stay up. I rebooted right before I left to reduce the odds of it flaking out while I'm away.

Re: Vanilla LA - hosted [signup]

I'd think you should still PM him with a NAP cancellation. If he doesn't read it or respond to it, that's his problem.

Re: Vanilla LA - hosted [signup]

Arcoscephale has now staled 3 consecutive turns. I'll now be forcing host whenever Arco and R'lyeh are the only two nations remaining to take their turns.

Idiotic mage

Wow, one of my gem-carrying mages just ignored his script completely in order to burn 6 gems against an army that didn't stand a chance of causing even one casualty...

Re: Sub

Sauro is driving me nuts... he's logged in at least twice today in a period of 6 hours, but still hasn't submitted a turn http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Re: Sub

Niefelheim was going to invade Mictlan this turn. While we will not be sending gems, we are giving an extra 1-turn grace period on our NAP to make up for lost time deploying and recruiting troops.

Re: turn processing times

I was suggested a new 2GB kit because I was guessing that his existing RAM was some kind of budget model. Increasing the amount of memory is unlikely to improve performance, but depending on what he...

Re: turn processing times

What mobo is that rig on? If it's any good at all you could just buy a decent 2GB kit of performance RAM (will cost $50-$100) and overclock that Pentium D. It's been a while since I've seen somewhat...

Re: recommended fire protection items?

Re: recommended fire protection items?

Kinda a pity to give up a misc spot for fire resist. Elemental armor would be a better bet, methinks. Apparently it's E2F1.... I'll probably have to trade for it, unless I hit a lucky magic site soon.

I'm looking for recommendations for getting some fire resistance on my Niefel Jarls. Something forgeable with WAESDN is preferable.

Thanks all.

Re: Vanilla LA - hosted [signup]

Just a heads up that I'm going to be out of town until April 20th. I'll still be playing my turns and the server should continue hosting. I'll have remote access to the host machine, but there is a...

R'lyeh has staled 3 turns in a row. I'm going to start forcing host if they're the only nation left to submit a turn.

Re: Vanilla LA - hosted [signup]

No, if you read back a bit you'll see I switched to 36 hour host at turn 20, as per the first post. And even though TC is gone we've had stales the last two turns....

In case anyone has noticed, I...
