Brilliant!! Those cmt files open in notepad as well, I am so used to editing game files in notepad, etc., that that is exactly what the problem was! Thank you so much, saved it from in editor, and...

Ok, weird, but renaming any other cmt to 995 does the trick, no crash, scenario starts up fine and plays too. Here's the stumper for me, at least. ALL cmt files are 200 bytes, a renamed one is 200...

I made a scenario quite a few years ago, Bulgaria/Germany in 1944, a couple guys helped me test it, worked fine. Went to open it a few days ago, and now it crashes the game when you try to select it?...

Well done on both the WW2 and MBT guys, loaded up used the fix supplied in a post above for Win 7 issues, game runs like a champ, no issues with palette or anything, looks really good!!
