Re: What is really new?

I was burned out on Dom2. Played it so long that I simply couldn't anymore. Then when I started playing Dom3 I got re-addicted. No burnout from Dom2 at all. I guess that should mean that Dom3 is...

Re: Blessings balance?

Death magic 9 gives Death weapon to sacred troops. Death weapons have a CHANCE to do additional death damage to the target. Not the same thing as fire weapons. Both are magical though.

Re: Newbie Pythium Questions

2 communion slaves increase magic by 1, 4 increase by 2, 8 increases by 3, 16 increases by 4.

I think Agrajag is right about that.

Re: Screenies!

Shields work nice in game. They feel different, their presence is felt (most notably when under archer fire) but they aren't overpowered.

Re: Limited randoms Vs Water nations

Sorry I missed brackets part. Anyway, provinces with amphibious units are easiest way to get underwater. If you can't find any, THEN you have to resort to other (usually more expensive) means. Don't...

Re: Byzantine Pythium for LE project

Well, late era Pythum. I'm not sure if it's exactly what you have in mind. I suggest you go on with this project, it's very unlikely it will turn out to be the same thing that IW will make.

Re: Vengefull Witch

Just another note: curse is not really as bad as it sounds. It simply increases chance that unit will get affliction when wounded. Cursed unit still takes normal damage just like unit that isn't...

Re: Vengefull Witch

Witch even it one of those not good - not bad events. It gives you some gems but it curses some of your troops. However, it may happen that you didn't have any troops in that province so you only get...

Re: Dom-III discussion at GalCiv

Well, as beta tester I can say that Dom3 is much more SP oriented then Dom2 was. Changes for SP improvement range from GUI improvements that allow you to start SP games easy and fast. In Dom2 you...

Re: Leadership levels upped, I see?

Also, growth scale has become more desirable as it now reduces chance for old age affictions. Basically, your old people will live longer so most powerful (and usually old) mages will live longer...

Re: Leadership levels upped, I see?

It's 10 (guys like mages and priests usually have that), 40, 80, 120 and <don't remember now>.

Since there is more gold and larger armies in game, leadership has increased.

Re: Question about Twiceborn and death from old ag

Btw, growth scale REDUCES disease affliction chance from old age. Taking growth scale is good idea for nations that have lots of old age commanders (and in some rare cases troops).

Not sure if...

Re: Question about Twiceborn and death from old ag

Old age afflictions can't be healed and chance that old guy will get disease increases as he gets older.

Re: Question about Twiceborn and death from old ag

Nerfix, noone dies from old age. Old people get weak, sick and then die. It's sickness that kills them, not old age (at least not directly).
