Have you checked out Time Distortion Burst (and Temporal Tachyon Cannon)? They seem to have a short range and it just stops (no trail off in power). When letting the AI run battles with ships that...

Slow Balanced Mod 1.4

This is for multiplayer games mostly, as I don't know how the AI will react.

Kwok's Balanced mod has been modified so that populations consume much more resources. This should slow down expansion...

I made a small mod to BM 1.04, which increases the amount of minerals/org/radio that the populations use. I tried soem rush tactics:

Space yard and Emergency Build's. New colonies produced...

It doesn't seem to really matter though, as players are able to to get 80 colonies in 30 turns and a few hundred thousand rp's. Resources don't seem to limit rushing tactics.

It seems populations really don't use much in the way of resources. Upping these values seems like it would make resources be a part of the game. Right now, they don't seem to be much of a limiting...

I sent a 'threat' to the attacking nation, hopefully it will help. Berraz is too low on power for me to attack. They are ~90 in strength.

Looks like Narquilocles could use some assistance. The 150 troops I sent as aid were already lost defending the country. Might have to attack the attacker directly.
