The battle was certainly challenging, but far from unbeatable. I got a nice marginal victory, mainly because I concentrated my forces on holding the hexes I knew were easy to hold, ignoring the hexes...

At first I was opposed to the idea given the low percentage of duds (around 1-4 % depending on the model) the submunitions leave, but seeing how it's done and how it really usually is just one or two...

Or you can just use the easy method and create a copy of the game folder. That way you don't have to install the patches again. I've got four different copies of the game currently.

Here's a 140 x 140 map of south east Finland I made for a PBEM game against a friend. It worked pretty well so I thought I'd share.

Uses slot 0 so rename the files based on your needs.

While fiddling around I couldn't help noticing how the fox holes and vehicle revetments are automatically spotted for the opponent when the unit originally dug in in said entrenchment is spotted....
