Is it possible to put the obscuration level in the description for storm, asteroids, warp points etc. so we know what sensors are needed to see the sector?

Also, I had a problem where 25 fighters...

I've managed to start with organic tech by loading an empire saved from a game after it was researched. It may have been a bit of a fluke though coz I had trouble doing it last time I tried.

Thanks geoschmo, That was me and I've organised for the host of the game where it occurred to send all the files so Aaron can run it with all the plr files and hopefully see what caused it.

I've sent the savegames to Malfador.

Stretagy First's advice was to use the 1.25 patch - strange given the first line in this forum topic, and to use the spaceepires5 website.

Baron Grazic: Empire files created in older versions were likely to have been used in the last game since it took a while to get started and there were a lot of players. Normally I would be surprised...

That fits most of the symptoms I've seen. If the new design got an ID of a design used by another player it may cause the server to silently trash the new design, and any reference to it (via ID)...

1. Expected results from technology are all jumbled.
- Researching Biology results in Troops
- In my other game, starting tech was wrong - could build baseships etc at...

I would be interested in see the results of a survey of customer satisfaction if this was possible. I don't know how you could include the people who bought it off the shelf, and those who were not...

Put it this way, It's like being sold a nice looking car which
- you can only drive for 5 minutes, then have stop and wait 5 minutes for it to cool down
- the reverse gear goes forwards rather...

It would seem that all treaties are completly ignored during combat, as empires with 'col eachother systems' treaties turn on eachother as if they were at war. By themselves, these empires do not...
