Re: What are these SEV-PBW problems, and what can
Baron Grazic: Empire files created in older versions were likely to have been used in the last game since it took a while to get started and there were a lot of players. Normally I would be surprised if this caused an issue as it is trivial record and check the version of any data files (empire file) and halt on version mismatches.
The test game I ran with designs disappearing (#2) was all done with the same version.
What does happens when empire file created in an older version is used in an updated version of SEV?
I'm sending a link to this forum topic to Strategy First and Malfador support so they can provide some answers.

It's better to send a detailed description of the problem, including a saved game which illustrates it, directly to Malfador.

Re: What are these SEV-PBW problems, and what can
I've sent the savegames to Malfador.
Stretagy First's advice was to use the 1.25 patch - strange given the first line in this forum topic, and to use the spaceepires5 website.

Re: What are these SEV-PBW problems, and what can
Strategy first has nothing to do with the development.
you're just going to have to wait and hope aaron finds the problem and fixes it for the next patch.
if you wan't to speed things up, then try checking if what geo sugested is true - does it happen if you don't add your new designs to the build queue till a turn after? can you confirm that it never happend to the first or last players?

Re: What are these SEV-PBW problems, and what can
Does anyone have any new info on these issues - like if they're fixed in 1.33?

Re: What are these SEV-PBW problems, and what can
It was not fixed in 1.33, at least not on purpose. Aaron posted in the beta forum that he was looking into the problem, but he had yet to be able to duplicate it. He could see form the savegames that someone sent him that something wierd had occured, but when he processed the turn it didn't occur.
If someone has a savegame or a set of steps that does this reliably, repeatably, it would be a great help if you could send it to Malfador. A couple people on the beta team mentioned they have tried to duplicate it as well and failed.

Thanks geoschmo, That was me and I've organised for the host of the game where it occurred to send all the files so Aaron can run it with all the plr files and hopefully see what caused it.
