X = 1 normally, 1/2 if AP, 0 in AN.

Every attack in a round reduces the target's defense by two.
So the first attack will hit if (2d6oe + attack skill) > (2d6oe + defense skill) while the 16th attack will hit if (2d6oe + attack...

A Great Boar of Carnutes calls about 0.2 boars/turn in a 2 dominion. Positive dominion is necessary, terrain doesn't seem to matter. Higher dominion wasn't tested.

The problem only happens if they end the battle in one form so losing another head will fix it. How to lose just one head in a battle is left as an exercise for the readers.

The problem with resources is that mages are recruited with gold at castle labs built with gold. I think building castles with resources instead of gold might be a good thing. Stone is even more...

Various items require various paths at various levels.

Your pretender's paths do not effect the paths of your mages.

Mostly not at all, path booster items for most of the rest, and burning...

A simple text editor also works. The problem with reading dom.exe is that you have to guess which unit the description applies to.

Wishing for population is useless as it is. I'd like it to increase population in every province by ~500, have a 5% chance of adding a unit type[1] not normal to the poptype, and increase unrest...

If there's no MR check then any (non-spider etc.) attacker would be blind on the second round. That's easy to check if you're worried about it.

You're right, good eye. I just tested and 1856 finishes as itself. It's easily modded by changing the firstshape of 1856 to 1850. 1855 is good, didn't check the rest.

If it's in theme I don't consider the lack of stealth a show stopper, although only being useful while besieged doesn't seem very Zeus-like. Perhaps Circe and Dido are closer.

IIRC, you could go higher if you only used natural or armor, not both, but that was in Dom2 and, since helmets and shields no longer add, it may not be possible without modding.
