Well, since they stack, you could take all of the traits, and space walkers costs less than just buying Construction Aptitude (assuming costs are the same as stock, and you already are at the higher...

I think planets can only target 10 ships, so you can probably blow them up - just with a high rate of attrition.

I forget, don't WPs contribute to the "in space" unit limit?

That would work fine for Emergency Movement, where you'd generally want all the ships with that component to use. It wouldn't work so well with somehthing like Emergency Supplies, when you might...

What would probably be best is when you COPY a ship in the Ship Design screen, the new ship design should inherit the original ship design's (current) strategy setting.

Though you can't sort by facility type, you can sort colonies by whether or not they have a spaceyard in the Construction Queue window (F7 (or click the wrench icon)).
