My understand is that..

1. It varies. Sometimes one tree will block LOS, sometimes you can see through two or three.
Trees do not have "height". Look at the height read-out of the hex itself...

It is the unit commander that helps with "being in contact", not the FO...that is unless your FO happens to be the commander of your mortar platoon.
I tend to use my HQ unit as a way of rallying...

They are based around SAS operations and don't have too many units.

The game has no conflicts if there are more than one install on the same drive.

At least that way you can have a play with the new...

It is pretty simple bro.
It is a function to stop your units retreating off the map in a set direction...which is often straight toward the enemy if you are playing a stock scenario...

It is in the info bar at the bottom of the main screen.
You can set the amount of turns during the deploy phase (not in a pre-made scenario though).
Once the battle has started, the turns are set....

There was talk ages ago of a WW1 mod for the DOS version...but it petered out to nothing. I think Don and Andy even left the dates open for ages to help out with that, but eventually gave up...
