which just goes to show my mind doesn't think straight. I actually used a copy of that pdf but I printed it out so I could lie down while I read the rules. It never occurred to me to use my pdf copy...

The old edition had an SRD (I forget what that means) which was roughly the rules stripped down to basics, and no flashy pictures. 3/3.5 was open gaming, which meant any company was allowed to use it...

When I first got the books I was shocked at what looked to me like the nerfing of wizards. I knew vancian spells were out but it worried me to see that mages only got something like a choice of 4...
