Sound Question

Hi,

I like to fiddle with weapon sounds quite a bit - assigning specific sounds to various weapons, adding new sounds , etc. and the current system of weapon sounds being assigned by unit rather...

Re: Geballte Ladung ammo types in v2 question

So... should the Gebaltte Ladung be HE or AP or both? Becuase all three variations are present in the German OOB.

Thanks,

Re: Happiness is:

*lol* Nothing is more frustrating than the "soft" vehicles that just won't die. Watching a tank main gun round hit a truck (or soft AA vehicle) and see "1 casualty" pop up drives me nuts - especially...

Geballte Ladung ammo types in v2 question

Hi,

I noticed that the Geballte Ladung has varying ammo types depending on the unit equipped with it. Many have purely HE but a few have a mix of HE and AP. Since HEAT rounds have a secondary HE...

Re: Questions reagrding the ARL V 39 and SAu-40

Thanks Marcello!

I agree, it looks like an MG turret - which is good, because that's what I gave it on my SHP & OOB =)

Questions reagrding the ARL V 39 and SAu-40

Hi,

I'm working on some what-if French equipment (SHP & OOB)- in particular the Somua S-40 (icon done), and the SAu-40 and ARL V 39 assault guns (icons in progress). The question I have is that...

Re: Spotters - One more from an old WinSPmbt playe

I've always thought that AI seems to buy way to much AAA, especially for some nations in the early years of the war. I was always under the impression that AA guns were in very short supply with many...

Re: More newbie ??s

Well I'm not sure if it's part of the AI routine, but I know that I could not resist such a juicy target as a tank with infantry riding on top. Infantry riding exposed on the outside of an armored...

German Unit Organization/Abbreviation Question

Hi,

Does anyone know of a good online source for Heer unit abbreviations?

Re: FJ Vs. Polish Assault Rafts

*lol*

True, but when the only way across is one bridge, the results are hardly fair. I'll give the credit though - they're brave!

Thanks! I'll guess I'll just have to live with any easy victory over the Polish riverine raft navy this time.

Cheers,

Re: PzKpfw IC Armament

Hmm... Further poking about on the internet indicates that the EW 141 is described as 20mm some places, 13mm in others, and I've found one that does call it 7.9mm - apparently using the round from...

PzKpfw IC Armament

Hi,

I'm wondering why the main gun of the PzKpfw IC is listed as a
7.9mm EW 141 (weapon slot 16)? I'm pretty sure that the EW 141 was 20mm not 7.9mm. Could this be a typo? Or am I missing...

Re: Possible Bug?

Don,

Ah - ok. The targets are predominately A13s and Crusader Is at medium to long range. Once I engaged them at <400m my PzKw IVc switched to AP.

Thanks for the clarification.

Re: German Armor vs. French Armor 5/40 issue

Andy,

Thanks for the info. I've picked up some '88s for my next battle, so hopefully that will event things up a bit.
