Re: CBM 1.7 released

I hate that change.

I like the existence of unique magical sites that, if discovered, can radically change the game for the one discovering them. Sites that are so powerful that they can become...

Re: Lanka Pretender Design

While I like all the suggestions already given, let me suggest just one more for the collection under CBM 1.6

An Imprisoned Lady of Fortune with W9E4S4N4. With that blessing you can afford

Re: Strands of Astral Power

I have used SoAP to great effect in two MP games with a low amount of players - only in the CBM version, in vanilla it comes too late to be used for anything but whacking enemy mages and has to...

Re: Immortals

In principle I guess that wishing for a Risen Oracle and investing enough gems in it to be able to cast useful spells might be viable for some weird plans in some very big or long games, though the...

Re: Immortals

He doesn't die (much) from arrow volleys if he has air shield and etherealness from items, but you are right.. he is terribly frail.

That makes him bad for offensive cloud trapeze/teleport...

Re: OT: Let’s all take a deep breath

I have to admit that I failed to grasp what you intended with your last post as you jumped from my house example to universal rights to Venezuela/Cuba to nations in general to the question of...

Re: OT: Let’s all take a deep breath

Clueless, am I?

As a concept of universal rights, you have the right to seek information, to receive information, and to express information. Moreover, the means of expression is not limited to...

Re: OT: Let’s all take a deep breath

You are aware that the issue of how a private forum is moderated is not at all related to the issue of freedom of speech, yes?

As an example, if I say that in my house nobody is allowed to say...

Re: Globals

There's nothing in the manual about spell penetration helping when a global tries to defeat another global and, as far as I know, nobody has performed the sort of mind-numbingly boring systematical...

Re: OT: Let’s all take a deep breath

Do you really feel that way? This is pretty alien thinking to me, but then I am admittedly a very logical fellow most of the time.

If you were coerced into following the rules, I could understand...

Re: Ban-a-thon

This is the thread:

I certainly was out of line in that thread by the end of it, no doubt about that, and I accepted so publically in my last...

Re: Night of the Long Knives?

If this were a public discussion forum, you would have a point.

However, it is not. It is a private forum for a commercial entity with very clear rules. As most other moderated commercial forums,...

Re: Managing Communions - the sombre challenge.

Re: Managing Communions - the sombre challenge.

I would beg to differ. If you are running around with 140 member communions without having equipped them with armour and fire/frost resistance equipment, it seems very likely that you either don't...

Re: Managing Communions - the sombre challenge.

You say that your opponent's Cyclops Tartarian costs him 12 death gems and 15 nature.

If this is the case, there is no way you need 100 communion slaves to stop him as that is a Cyclops without...

Re: Wish-List for Dominions 4

In case you somehow failed to notice it, Burnsaber, this is the wish-list for Dominions 4 (hint: it says so in the title) - a hypothetical game that quite possibly will never exist - not a wish list...

Re: Wish-List for Dominions 4

No.

There are already many suboptimal wishes possible, some suboptimal in most situtations but not all, some just really poor things to wish for. You might have a point regarding the latter...

Re: vampires life drain (Sanguinia mod nation) under water bless?

Militarist, there are some known bugs in Dom3 still. One of those is losing certain weapon slots when you equip a commander with several inherent weapons with new items.

I don't know the mod you...

Wrath of God game mechanics

It struck me earlier today that I actually don't know the precise game mechanics of the WoG ritual but have been going on assumptions made based on how Purgatory works.

For reference, Purgatory...

Re: MA T'ien Ch'i - a little of this, a little of that and BAM!

One problem with Prince Generals is the seasonal variation of their hitpoints. Just like the Red Guard cavalry, one has to be careful fielding them in the wintertime.

In spring the Prince Generals...

Re: MA T'ien Ch'i - a little of this, a little of that and BAM!
