More details on my Mod. I hope to start the game the First week of April. If you join, I suggest you test your race for 20 turns. There are some differences:

Re: Mod/Launcher Help

Anyone ever have trouble getting new passwords to stick in the Mod Launcher? It keeps defaulting the original password for me on one of my games.

Here is a summary of my mod:

Bigger hulls are easier to hit, progressively: Battle Cruisers, Battleship, Dreadnaught.

Weapon Mount Efficiency scalled down.

Talisman is treated as low value...

Re: Looking for a killer strategy with Deeply Religious trait

The Talisman is very effective in a low ship limit game ( less than 500), because you can build high powered ships that cannot be easily swarmed.

Re: Wish list for patch/SEV

I would like to see a supply generating component or supply generating ability that can be modded onto a component that is not tied to the number of stars in a system, but a fixed amount per turn. I...

Defending with an Ally at a Warp-Point. Bug or not?

Using 1.78 in a PBW game, we have discovered that if you defend a warp-point with an ally, you will both be place further away from the warp-point than if you defend by yourself. This means that...

Re: Vacuum breathers get gypped in FQM?

Keep in mind that there are more important concerns than number of facility slots. None races do not get population bonuses as readily, but they do potentially have more shipyard capacity in a game...

Re: Weapons, engines and mods, Oh my!

I tend to favor weapons that have the highest ratio of Damage/KT Space/ROF or Damage/KT Space (First fire advantage). The problem with looking at Mineral cost of space when evaluating a weapon, is...

Re: new SEIV patch !!

I cannot believe people are still grumbling about AI limitations. Since there is no way to code your AIs to look at the environment around them, it will be hard to produce good AIs. You really need...

Re: PBW Server is down - and back up again

What's all the crying here for? PBW is nice, but your game hosts should be ble to run their games in its absense. One of my games has run 3 turns since PBW went down.

It seems people forget that...
