Re: Welcome Star Legacy Development Group!

Engines as weapons are very cool if rarely used.

Re: MP Game: How bad is too bad?

Ok, I admit that such a player is essentially not even in the game. Still, I'd would like to think that I would do my best to offer advice and (very) inexpensive help before kicking them. And asking...

Thumbs down Re: MP Game: How bad is too bad?

How good is too good? At what point do you consider kicking a player for playing too well? What if one player is easily dominating all the others, to the point where their strength and superiority is...

Re: Welcome Star Legacy Development Group!

I have to admit I somehow missed Imperium Galactica, though I've run through the usual suspects, of which my favorites were Stars!, SE: III & IV. If you can offer the customization and modification...

Re: Welcome Star Legacy Development Group!

Welcome! Mr Kolis I have enjoyed a number of your SE:IV mods, and I'll be waiting to see what SLDG will be creating.

Out of curiosity, what 4x game(s) have influenced the team the most? And are...

Just.... wow

I'll start off by saying that I discovered Illwinter just before Dominions 3 came out. (What really sold me, btw, was the actualy physical manual). I've really enjoyed Dominions 3, and all the...

Re: Re-Raising Skeletons ?!?!?!

Skeletons are fairly weak summons. Banishment easily kills them and even light infantry have no trouble taking them on.

Re: Manual Typos

Tables: p. 48, 49, 85:
The shaded tables in the manual cause letters to be left out on alternating lines.

Inconsistant use of periods within lists: p. 61, 62, 80, 92:
By this I just mean that...

Re: Long Enough (Tesco Please Read)

Wow. I have to say that this is the oldest post I've seen ressurected. I hope it did turn out, though it sounds unlikely.

Re: SE5, Tell Aaron what\'s on your Wish List

I'm not trying to argue that it is or isn't turn based lol. All I'm trying to say is that I'd like to see SE current turn based mode as an option for lan/internet games. We all wan't SEV and...

Re: SE5, Tell Aaron what\'s on your Wish List

Try games like Age of Wonders, which uses a simultaneous-turn system. Believe me, it's not a mind numbing click fest. To the best of my knowledge, what it does is processes the turn bit by bit. It is...

Re: SE5 release is only 3 weeks away!

I have mixed feelings about the screenshots. True, the game is graphicly much better than SEIV, and there seems to have been another layer of depth added (Ordinance and the like) but at the same time...

Re: SE5, Tell Aaron what\'s on your Wish List

I can see your point. But then, the SE series being a bit of a niche game has its own niche players. I can't speak for everyone I play and lan with, but I have trouble managing larger or later...

Re: The Star Trek Mod - 1.9.2.7.1 Deluxe *updated*

Now now, I'm not a die hard star trek fan. But that ep. was on spike the other day and gave me a laugh lol

Re: OT: Stupid Stars!

Of course, had Feznik had a mass driver facility or station in the first place, you would have caught the packet and been a little richer. That'll teach those Feznikians to be proactive!

I...

Re: The Star Trek Mod - 1.9.2.7.1 Deluxe *updated*

I refuse to try out the mod unless it contains the "crimson forcefeild!"

Re: SE5, Tell Aaron what\'s on your Wish List

Any Classicist or Medievalist can tell you all about the fall of the Roman Empire and the following Dark Ages. That is the first example of technological degradation that comes to mind.

Second,...
